While reading recently about the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping case (happy ending) they mentioned that she had probably been brainwashed by her psychotically religious kidnappers. This caught my attention: many of the techniques involved in brainwashing were the same that I had seen in practice going to "holy roller" tent revivals as a kid.
Atheists are the last minority in this country that are legally allowed to be persecuted. If Jews, blacks or Mexicans were to be legally discriminated against as us Atheists regularly are, the uproar would be stupendous. But since its just Atheists, who gives a shit???

History is written by the victors. That being the case, imagine for a moment if Nazi Germany had been the victors of World War Two, and thus had written the history books that we in The United States grew up with. Our perceptions of Adolph Hitler would be vastly different than they are now. Hitler would come across as a good guy, while Roosevelt would be the villain. A history of Germany, written by Nazi Germans, would be vastly different than one written by who really won the war. Christians would admit this, yet then turn around and claim that their own history, written entirely by the sect that won the early power struggle, is somehow pristine and pure as the driven snow.
Christians like to brag that they are the originators of, and the sole source for, morality on this planet. They seem to feel that they have a monopoly on morality. Once again, Christian claims fall far short of reality.

Hellfire For Roses With Thorns Modern science is showing more and more "sins" are biological in origin, and NOT "moral choices". This presents a quandary for Christians: how can Biblegod justly roast somebody's ass in hell for all eternity for something over which they had no control??? "Divine Wrath" for a gay man being gay makes as much sense as yelling at a rose for having thorns, yet this is the "justice" system set up by Biblegod.
