The United States is run by rich people.
Illegal immigration benefits rich people.
Therefore, illegal immigration will always be allowed to exist.

That is my conclusion after many years of thought on this matter. It is also my conclusion that it will always be allowed to exist as long as the rich people control this country. And given that that isn't bound to change any time soon, I'm not holding my breath while waiting for the status quo to change.

"The people in Washington are listening to their contributors who are businesses, and businesses, almost without fail, want illegal immigration." (1)

"Elites are less likely to be inconvenienced by immigration. They are hiring illegals, not competing against them for work." (1)

Let me start off by saying this is NOT a racial issue; it's an economic issue. Period. People from the United States would be doing the exact same thing as Mexicans were we in their shoes.

Rich people own the businesses that hire the illegals. The rich gain higher profits by paying lower wages, while reaping none of the drawbacks. When the closing bell rings at their businesses, the rich go to their gated communities guarded by armed security personal, while the non-rich white, black, Asian, and legal Hispanics, must go to neighborhoods that are being Tijuana-ized by the illegals being lured into the county by the rich.

Having lived in Southern California for over 25 years, I am more than familiar with what having several million illegals can do to an area. The crime rate goes up due to one bedroom apartments getting packed with 20 or 30 people (Note to those in the rest of the nation: I am not exaggerating) which inflates the population density to worse than Tokyo. Local hospitals become flooded with illegals getting "free" medical care they couldn't get back home, and entire trades (such as plumbing or carpentry) cease to exist as viable careers as there are now plenty of people willing to it for less than half price.

None of this, of course, bothers the people that lured the illegals here in the first place. They hire illegals in their businesses and as nannies at their homes, all for dirt cheap. They're not bothered by the crime as they don't live or drive thru the destroyed neighborhoods. Their jobs aren't taken away by someone willing to do it for half price. Their kids don't go to the affected schools and they don't go to the over-crowed or closed local emergency rooms for medical aid.

As for that excuse that the Mexicans are willing to take the jobs that Americans won't, that's a crock of shit when coming from rich American capitalists. According to capitalism, IF a given wage will not attract workers, then you need to raise the wage up to the point where it will, NOT "import" against the law a bunch of impoverished third-world people willing to take the jobs for almost nothing. There is no  moral difference between factory owners illegally importing cheap foreign labor in order to screw homegrown American workers, and American workers illegally importing cheap foreign goods to screw homegrown American factory owners who make the same products but sell them for twice the price as the illegal imports. The factory owners in the USA claim to be for capitalism, but only if they can break the law so they can bend capitalism to their liking. Their argument that Americans won't take low paying jobs is an argument for raising the pay to the point where Americans WILL take the jobs.

For the rich, it's a "win-win-win" situation all around, and thus as long as the rich control the politicians, the borders will never be allowed to be sealed- there's way too much money at stake. Laws may be put on the books, but those laws will remain ineffective either thru lack of funding or lack of enforcement. Illegals are here to stay, and there's millions more on their way, and you can't stop them, so sit back, shut up, and enjoy the abundance of good Mexican restaurants that result, and try to get rich yourself so you can benefit yourself!
